Radio Frequency Microneedling
Am I a good candidate?
What results can I expect?
How does it work?
We are proud to house one of the most innovative Radio Frequency (RF) Microneedling machines available, Cutera's Secret™ Pro (a combination of previous models – Secret™ RF and Fraxis Pro). Our patients receive a highly effective skin tightening and microneedling combined treatment with minimal downtime, unlike your traditional microneedling service. It works by creating a series of tiny, controlled injuries on the skin's surface to promote its natural healing response. Then, radiofrequency energy is delivered through these channels to precise depths within the skin, where it reacts to contract cells and stimulates collagen production. Our Fraxis PRO's advanced bipolar RF energy coagulates tissue causing a hemostatic response to stimulate collagen remodeling. The ‘smooth motor' tip reduces discomfort for the optimal patient experience. New skin cells replace the damaged cells, and new collagen fibers form to renew the skin at the cellular level for better support and a firmer, more youthful appearance.

What is the treatment like?
Your skin will be thoroughly cleansed before treatment, and a topical anesthetic can be applied to maximize your comfort. Once you're ready, theSecret™ Pro's microneedling device is passed over your skin in controlled sweeps to achieve total coverage of the treatment area. After your treatment, you're free to return to most of your everyday activities. Consistent use of sunscreen is extremely important if you're outdoors for long.
Is there any downtime?
Minor pain and redness can occur during and, for a short period, after treatment. The skin may flake off (peel) and feel tighter than usual for several days following treatment. There is a very low risk of infection due to tiny holes being made in the skin during treatment. Wait at least 8-12 hours before wearing makeup or using heavy facial products. Keep your skin as clean as possible, and do not touch the treated area for up to 4-8 hours directly after treatment to avoid clogged pores or infection. Contact your provider if you experience continuous burning, redness, or swelling of the treated area.
